Penn State students have an opportunity to attend the Nittany Lions' Big Ten primetime clash at Northwestern on Oct. 22. Students who want to attend the game can purchase a ticket at Gate B (northeast corner) of the Bryce Jordan Center beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17. A limited number of tickets will be made available on a first-come, first served basis for the contest in Evanston. Each student will be permitted to purchase one $50 ticket and must present a valid Penn State ID+ Card to secure a ticket. All sales of all tickets will be done on a cash only basis. Penn State men's and women's basketball season tickets are available for 18 Nittany Lion and 15 Lady Lion home games during the 2011-12 season at the Bryce Jordan Center. Basketball season tickets are available by calling 814-865-5555 or by filling out an application at GoPSUsports.com/tickets. Penn State students will be admitted for free to Lady Lion basketball games beginning this season. The Nittany Lion basketball team will be led by junior guard Tim Frazier in Coach Patrick Chambers' first year at the helm. Head coach Coquese Washington and the Lady Lions, who have been ranked in the top 15 of preseason polls, return four starters and 10 letterwinners from a team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament second round a year ago. The anticipation for the 2011 Nittany Lion football season continues to build, with Penn State students purchasing more than 21,000 season tickets this week to again fill what has been recognized as the nation's best student section. Penn State's loud and proud student section is the nation's largest full season student ticket section of any school, for any sport. ESPN The Magazine tabbed Penn State football as "The Nation's No. 1 Student section" in 2008, among numerous national media accolades. The Nittany Lions have a blockbuster home schedule this fall, which includes visits from Alabama, Iowa, Illinois, Purdue and new Big Ten member Nebraska, which Penn State plays in Beaver Stadium for the first time since 2002. The 2011 Penn State student football ticket sale will begin on Monday, June 20. The senior class will once again kick-off the sale on Monday, with the sale continuing through the Friday, June 24 graduate student ticket sale. A complete set of instructions and the daily schedule are posted at Student Central (http://www.gopsusports.com/studentcentral). Intercollegiate Athletics recommends that all students eligible to participate next week thoroughly review all sale instructions before their assigned ticket sale date. Students should also consider printing out a copy of the sale instructions for reference while purchasing their ticket. All sales will occur online. (more)

The Penn State Student Outback Bowl Ticket Sale will be held this Saturday, Dec. 11, from 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center Ticket Office (University Park Campus). Tickets are $70 each and there is a limit of two tickets per student. Tickets can be purchased with cash or credit cards. Lion Cash will not be accepted for the purchase of Outback Bowl Tickets. FedExField student ticket sale on Monday; Bus trip also available

On Monday, Oct. 18, Penn State students will be able to secure their spot in one of two specially designated student sections for the Nittany Lions' game vs. Indiana at FedExField on Nov 20. The sale will begin at 10 a.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center, and will also offer the option for students to reserve round-trip bus transportation from University Park to FedExField on game day. The student bus trip option is being offered via Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics. (more)

Penn State students eager to see the final campaign of two-time All-Big Ten point-guard Talor Battle and a senior-laden Nittany Lion basketball team or the 2010-11 edition of the Lady Lions coming off a 2010 WNIT berth will have their first chance to purchase season tickets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 7) at Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center on the University Park campus. The third annual Live Penn State Basketball Student Season Ticket Sale will feature free food and drinks, games, prizes and fun. (more)
