Nittany Lion fans in Philadelphia for the Penn State-Temple football game Sept. 17 can get pumped up and ready for kickoff at the Penn State Pep Rally, across from Lincoln Financial Field. The pep rally tent opens at 9 a.m. and the program begins at 10 a.m. (more)
Penn State alumni, students and fans headed to sunny Florida for the Outback Bowl game featuring the Nittany Lions and the Florida Gators can get revved up at the Penn State Pep Rally on Friday, Dec. 31. The pep rally will begin at 3:30 p.m. (doors open at 2:30 p.m.), at the Channelside Tampa Convention Center. (more)
Leading up to the Big Ten clash between Penn State and Ohio State, the Nittany Nation will gather in Columbus, Ohio, for a game-day pep rally and a Friday night tailgate, Nov. 12 and 13. (more)
The Blue & White Society and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics are teaming up to host the traditional "Rally in the Valley" football pep rally at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, in Rec Hall. The Nittany Lion faithful will be pumped up and primed to get ready for the widely anticipated Beaver Stadium primetime clash between Penn State and Michigan on Saturday. The "Rally in the Valley" will begin immediately after the Penn State-Indiana women's volleyball match, which begins at 6:30 p.m. The first 5,500 fans who either remain at the volleyball match or arrive at Rec Hall will be admitted. Whether the Nittany Lions are playing at Beaver Stadium or playing on the road, the Penn State Alumni Association offers a free, pre-game activity for alumni and friends: Penn State Pep Rallies at away games and "Huddle with the Faculty" at home. (more)
The Blue & White Society and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics are teaming up to host the traditional Rally in the Valley football pep rally at approximately 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, in the Bryce Jordan Center following the Nittany Lion basketball team's exhibition game against Slippery Rock. Saturday's Ohio State football game has been declared a Penn State student White Out, and all students are encouraged to wear white to the game. (more)
Nittany Lion faithful can get pumped up and primed three hours before kickoff at each away game pep rally, organized by the Penn State Alumni Association. The first pep rally will be in Champaign, Ill., on Oct. 3 prior to the Illinois game. The Penn State Pep Rally tent will be located in the group tent area on the east side of Assembly Hall, off of Fourth Street. Like all Penn State Alumni Association pep rallies, the Illinois pep rally will feature the Pep Band, the Nittany Lion, cheerleaders and some rallying words from Penn State President Graham Spanier and the Alumni Association. The pep rally tent will open three hours before kickoff, which has not yet been announced. (more)
Nittany Lion fans with tickets to Tuesday's Penn State-Notre Dame NIT semifinal game in Madison Square Garden are encouraged to wear white and participate in the "Rally in the Garden" before tip-off. Fans are invited to join the Nittany Lion, the cheerleaders, the pep band and special Nittany Lion guests at 6:30 p.m. in the Theatre Lobby at Madison Square Garden for a Penn State-style pep rally. The Nittany Lions (25-11) and Fighting Irish (21-14) will clash at approximately 9:15 p.m., immediately following the Baylor-San Diego State semifinal at 7 p.m. (more)
Penn State fans logged a busy last day of 2008 as they attended the team pep rally and opted for entrance into the Rose Bowl kickoff luncheon and Universal Studios events all day and toward midnight. (more)
