Professor makes reform suggestions at White House health care meeting
Wednesday, July 22, 2009Mona Counts, Elouise Ross Eberly Professor in the School of Nursing, visited the White House on Thursday, July 2, to participate in a health care discussion with health care professionals and the White House Office of Health Reform. Counts and the nurse practitioner contingent at the meeting recommended that all nurse practitioners be utilized to their full capabilities as care providers. Currently, some health insurance companies do not provide sufficient recognition to nurse practitioners, which creates a problem with providing care in the United States. (more)
