Comedian and actor D'Sean Ross will perform at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, in the auditorium of the Student Union Building at Penn State Beaver. Ross has been recognized nationally for his stand-up comedy and his observations on life as well as his work as an actor. The performance will be free and open to the public. (more)

The Harrisburg-based improvisational comedy troupe, Don't Break the Streak, will hold a benefit for Children's Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. The event, titled "Comedy from the Heart," will consist of four improv comedy shows at 8 and 10:30 p.m. on May 20 and 21 at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone, 110 Limekiln Road, in New Cumberland, Pa. The public is invited to attend three short plays presented by Penn State Beaver Theatre and written by Beaver campus students. Two Penn State student comedic efforts are under way this week. Students of Phroth, Penn State's humor magazine and producer of the Phollegian, host the first Phroth Alumni Comedy Show this Saturday (April 24) in honor of its centennial year. In addition, a team of four Penn State students compete against Temple in online voting beginning Thursday, April 22, during round one of the 3rd Annual Rooftop Comedy National College Comedy Competition.
