With 13,849 fans, including a record 505 survivors, filling the Bryce Jordan Center, the No. 11/15 Penn State Lady Lions (23-5, 13-3) defeated Minnesota (14-16, 6-10), 74-51, Sunday afternoon in the Sixth Annual WBCA Pink Zone game. The Lady Lions clinch the Big Ten regular-season championship outright for the fourth time in school history and sixth regular-season crown overall. The 13,849 fans in attendance account for the fourth-largest crowd in school history and the largest to witness a Pink Zone game. The preliminary fundraising total for this year's Pink Zone is $159,795.93, which does not include donations from single-game ticket sales, t-shirt sales or the CharityBuzz.com online auction. (more)

The Third Annual Penn State Lady Lion Basketball Pink Zone Champion Award will be given to Steve Falke and the Penn State Bookstore for their generosity in supporting the WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State. The Penn State Bookstore has been a key sponsor of the Pink Zone at Penn State for all six years, as the exclusive outlet for the official Pink Zone T-shirts. (more)

Penn State Mont Alto will participate in the Pink Zone fundraiser headed by the Lady Lions basketball team at University Park. On Saturday, February 11, 2012, Mont Alto fans are encouraged to wear pink to the women's game at 1 p.m. and the men's game at 3 p.m. In addition, Pink Zone T-shirts are available for purchase at the campus bookstore; a portion of every shirt sold will go to the Pink Zone. Once again, the Penn State Lady Lions and Fullington Trailways are teaming up to make this year's WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State game a success. Fullington Trailways, Susquehanna Trailways and Martz Trailways will provide service to the Pink Zone at Penn State game on Sunday, Feb. 26 versus Minnesota from 13 Pennsylvania cities. (more)

The 2011 WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State was a record-breaking event in the Lady Lions' fight against breast cancer as the Penn State women's basketball team donated $197,210.34 to five breast cancer charities. Led by honorary co-chairs and breast cancer survivors Mimi Barash Coppersmith and Dean Nan Crouter, the funds raised by the 2011 Pink Zone at Penn State were donated to charities on the local, state and national level and included Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. (more)

The Penn State Lady Lions have launched their annual WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State online auctions, and for the first time will sponsor two internet fundraisers to boost donations for breast cancer causes. The auctions will feature autographed memorabilia and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including a Saturday Night Live package and a deluxe football weekend for the Penn State-Alabama game. (more)

The Penn State Lady Lion basketball team will kickoff its WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State fundraising campaign with a Hoop Shoot prior to the Penn State-Illinois football game. The Hoop Shoot, which will be located outside of the Penn State Bookstore location at Beaver Stadium (near the All Sports Museum), will take place from 9-11 a.m. Members of the Lady Lions will be on hand from 10-11 a.m. (more)
