Students can compete for cash prizes by using the Internet to answer questions. The Penn State Libraries are hosting the Digital Literacy Contest from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Winners will earn hundreds of dollars in cash prizes. The contest is free and open to all students. Afterwards the library will provide a free dinner and will host a discussion about the future of libraries, technology and society. The library will also host a free 45 minute workshop on digital literacy the day after the contest. (more)

Crowds gathered in the University Libraries on Tuesday, Jan. 20, to watch the historic 2009 Presidential Inauguration on the big screen in Foster Auditorium and three network broadcasts on the plasma screens in the News and Microforms Library. (more)
