A Moroccan farmer taught Penn State students about the properties of vetiver grass, including its ability to clean wastewater. The grass could be used as part of a solution to water-quality problems being experienced in Assoul, Morocco, where students spent time recently.

Athletes, with the help of coaches and nutritionists, must pay careful attention to what they are eating and drinking to optimize their peak performance abilities. In the next edition of "Expert Opinion with Graham Spanier," three Penn State experts join Penn State President Graham Spanier to discuss the care and feeding of Division I college athletes. Spanier is joined by Kristine Clark, assistant professor and director of sports nutrition; Beth Alford-Sullivan, director and head coach of men's and women's track and field/cross-country; and Andres Casais, former men's soccer player and senior team captain. Today's arenas and stadiums deliver ticket holders equal parts competition and rock concert with the addition of entertainment like energizing recorded music over loudspeakers and videos on jumbo screens. The "Game Day" edition of "Expert Opinion with Graham Spanier," the host is joined by three guests who oversee college and pro sporting event experiences that take game-day traditions to the next level.
