Experts blame existing environmental imbalances in Africa on past efforts of isolated habitat preservation. An alternative is community-based conservation, which requires the assistance of a region's indigenous population. Jeannie Magill is the originator and co-producer of "Milking the Rhino," a documentary that advocates maintaining biodiversity through community-based conservation. United States President Barack Obama's executive order to close Guantanamo Bay poses some major challenges for the U.S. Some of the prisoners are known to be dangerous and can never be released, others face a trial of some kind, and still others are no longer considered a threat. There are many questions about what should ultimately be done with all of them. The closing of Guantanamo signifies a new era in U.S. detention policy.
