A pair of standouts from Penn State's 1986 National Championship team are among the candidates under consideration for the National Football Foundation's College Hall of Fame. First-team All-Americans D.J. Dozier and Steve Wisniewski have been selected for the national ballot for the Hall of Fame's Class of 2012. They have an opportunity to join 17 former Nittany Lion players and five Penn State coaches who have been inducted into the Hall. (more)

Curt Warner was always one to praise the blockers who helped him become Penn State's all-time career rushing leader and he did it again last Saturday night when he was enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame. "I'm happy that a couple of my blockers, Bill Contz and Mark Battaglia, are here tonight," Warner told the crowd at the Enshrinement Festival Dinner in South Bend's Century Center. "Those (blockers) set the tone for me. As I said earlier today, this is not a game about individuals but a team game. We were a team and we all pulled together and won the national championship (in 1982)." (more)

Former Penn State All-America tailback Curt Warner, the Nittany Lions' career rushing yardage leader, will be enshrined in the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 17. Warner is the 17th Penn State student-athlete to receive college football's ultimate honor. Warner and all the class members will be honored at Saturday night's Enshrinement Dinner and Show in South Bend, Ind. to cap Enshrinement Festival activities. Warner and the 17 other members of the Bowl Subdivision class were inducted last December at a black tie dinner in New York City. (more)

Penn State's Joe Paterno was joined by 16 former standout players and three coaches as they were enshrined into the National Football Foundation's College Hall of Fame. Paterno and the others in the class were honored at Saturday (July 19) night's Enshrinement Dinner and Show in South Bend, Ind., to highlight Enshrinement Festival activities. The third active coach to be enshrined into the Hall of Fame, Paterno and the other members of the Bowl Subdivision class were inducted last December at a black tie dinner in New York City.
