The Big Ten Network will nationally televise Penn State's Senior Day clash with Indiana on Nov 14. The contest will kick at noon, as 17 Nittany Lion seniors play their final game in Beaver Stadium. The seniors, who have led Penn State to a 37-11 record the past four years, will be introduced in a pregame ceremony. The game with the Hoosiers is Penn State's 11th announced TV appearance of the season. This Saturday's clash with Ohio State will kick at 3:30 p.m. EST and be regionally televised by ABC, with ESPN2 airing the game outside the ABC coverage area. (more)
The No. 1 Penn State women's volleyball team (23-0, 11-0) can tie the UCLA men's basketball team's 88-game winning streak when the Nittany Lions host No. 7 Minnesota at 7 p.m. Friday (Oct. 30) in Rec Hall. The Golden Gophers (17-5) are in second place in the Big Ten standings with an 8-2 mark. The Penn State women's volleyball team, which has won the last two NCAA Championships, can move into a tie for fourth place on the NCAA Division I consecutive victories list with a win over Minnesota. The Big Ten Network, dedicated exclusively to Big Ten Conference television programming, Thursday (Oct. 22) announced it is launching on Rogers Digital Cable in select areas of Ontario and New Brunswick. The announcement was made by Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman. In making the announcement, Silverman said the network, dedicated to showcasing one of the premier athletic and academic conferences in the United States, will be an instant hit with sports fans in Ontario and New Brunswick. The Big Ten Network's Big Ten Football Saturday: Pre-Game Show will originate from Happy Valley on Saturday, broadcasting near Beaver Stadium before Penn State takes on Minnesota in the 90th annual Homecoming Game. The program airs from 10:30 a.m.-noon. The show will be located in front of the Bryce Jordan Center, near Curtin Road, and fans are encouraged to attend. Rick Pizzo is the host and former Minnesota coach Glen Mason will be the analyst for the program. Former Nittany Lion All-America tight end Kyle Brady also has served as an analyst on the program this season. (more)

The Big Ten Conference unveiled its new postseason lineup for the 2010-13 college football seasons, with six Big Ten bowl games set to be featured annually on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, including five contests on Jan. 1. The conference office announced four-year bowl extensions with the Capital One, Outback and Insight and new four-year bowl agreements with the Konica Minolta Gator, Texas and Dallas Football Classic. The Big Ten is already in the midst of an eight-year extension with the Rose Bowl through the 2013 season. This new Big Ten bowl lineup will run concurrently with the latest Bowl Championship Series contract. (more)
