
The Invention to Venture conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 13 in Alumni Hall at the HUB-Robeson Center on Penn State's University Park campus. The conference is intended for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff as well as community members. Presentations will focus on technology entrepreneurship, opportunity assessment, venture capital, marketing, intellectual property, business plans and related topics. Registration costs $10 for students, $30 for faculty, staff and alumni, and $50 members of the business community and others.
Confirmed speakers include Paul Polak, founder of International Development Enterprises and author of “Out of Poverty;” Rajeev Sharma, founder and CEO of VideoMining; Gil Beyda, serial entrepreneur and managing partner of Genacast Ventures; Edward Cape, managing partner with Sapphire Group LLC, president of the Alzheimer's Action Foundation, and chairman of the North Florida Growth Alliance; and David Adewumi, founder of innoblue and Heekya.
