Still Life

With four guide ropes attached to it, the east-side clock face is raised into position. While it didn't seem that windy on the ground on Saturday, Jan. 28, winds higher up were strong, requiring extra guidance to bring the clock face safely to the Old Main bell tower.

The company installed a new carillon system today (Jan. 27) that will play a digital recording made of the original Old Main bell that now sits adjacent to Old Main and other bells of comparable sizes.

University Park, Pa. — Sales for Penn State Student Football Season Tickets for the 2010 season will begin on Monday, June 21 with the Senior class and continue throughout the week, finishing with the Graduate Student Ticket Sale on Friday, June 25. A complete set of instructions and frequently asked questions about the sale, as well as the daily schedule, are posted at Student Central (http://www.gopsusports.com/studentcentral).

Intercollegiate Athletics recommends that all students eligible to participate next week thoroughly review all sale instructions and FAQs before their assigned ticket sale date. Students should also consider printing out a copy of the sale instructions for reference while purchasing their ticket. All sales will occur online.

Like last year, all returning full-time Penn State students wishing to purchase a 2010 season football ticket were required to preregister for the sale between Thursday, May 27 and Wednesday, June 2, as previously instructed. Preregistration is mandatory for all returning undergraduate and graduate students, as well as first-year graduate and first-year law students. Students in those categories that have not pre-registered will not be eligible to buy Student Football Season Tickets for the 2010 season.

A "Sold Out" message will be posted to Student Central when ticket resources have been exhausted for that day's respective class sale.

More than 21,000 student football season tickets will be available for the Nittany Lions' passionate and energetic student section. Additionally, students will be able to purchase 2010-11 basketball season tickets, the official 2010 Penn State White Out T-shirt or join the Student Nittany Lion Club during this year's sale.

For more information on important dates as well as the purchasing process, visit http://www.gopsusports.com/ot/studentcentral.html. Students should note all deadlines and procedures that need to be followed.

Specific questions about the sale can be addressed by calling the Athletics Customer Relations Center at 1-800-NITTANY (648-8269) or emailing questions to studenttickets@psu.edu.
