Penn State and State College officials are encouraging fans to be loud, proud and respectful at all University athletic events, including before, during and after this Saturday's Penn State-Ohio State football game.
The town-gown partnership has sponsored messages throughout the local community this week saying, "Be enthusiastic. Support our student athletes. Most importantly, cheer loudly for our Nittany Lion teams. Be proud of our University's traditions. Remember the glory of Old State and promote success with honor. Be respectful of our visiting fans. Welcome them to Happy Valley and help them to feel at home here. State College and Penn State should be a great place to be for all sports fans."
No. 10 Penn State's clash with No. 12 Ohio State -- the 300th game to be played in Beaver Stadium -- will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be nationally televised by ABC/ESPN2. The Penn State Sports Network will broadcast the game.
The Blue & White Society and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics are teaming up to host the traditional Rally in the Valley football pep rally at approximately 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, in the Bryce Jordan Center following the Nittany Lion basketball team's exhibition game against Slippery Rock.
Saturday's game has been declared a Penn State student White Out, and all students are encouraged to wear white to the game.
