Penn State-Indiana Senior Day clash to kick at noon

Monday, November 2, 2009

University Park, Pa. -- The Big Ten Network will nationally televise Penn State's Senior Day clash with Indiana on Nov 14.

The contest will kick at noon, as 17 Nittany Lion seniors play their final game in Beaver Stadium. The seniors, who have led Penn State to a 37-11 record the past four years, will be introduced in a pregame ceremony.

The game with the Hoosiers is Penn State's 11th announced TV appearance of the season. This Saturday's clash with Ohio State will kick at 3:30 p.m. EST and be regionally televised by ABC, with ESPN2 airing the game outside the ABC coverage area.

The Indiana game will be Penn State's fourth appearance on the Big Ten Network this season. The Nittany Lions also have played four times on ABC/ESPN, once on ESPN and once on ESPN Classic.

Penn State leads the series with Indiana, 12-0. The Nittany Lions won, 34-7, in last year's meeting.

The Nittany Lions (8-1, 4-1) have appeared on television in 186 of their last 188 games. Future Penn State contests may be selected by the networks under the six and 12-day provisions of their contracts with the Big Ten. The kick time and TV network for the Nov. 21 season finale at Michigan State likely will be announced Nov. 9.

All Penn State football games can be heard on the Penn State Sports Network and http://www.GoPSUsports.com online, with all Big Ten Conference games available on XM Satellite Radio.

The Hoosiers (4-5, 1-4) host Wisconsin on Saturday before the contest with the Nittany Lions.

A limited number of tickets, returned by Indiana, are available for the Senior Day contest. Tickets are on sale at http://www.GoPSUsports.com or by calling 814-865-5555 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Ohio State game is sold out.
