With four guide ropes attached to it, the east-side clock face is raised into position. While it didn't seem that windy on the ground on Saturday, Jan. 28, winds higher up were strong, requiring extra guidance to bring the clock face safely to the Old Main bell tower.

The company installed a new carillon system today (Jan. 27) that will play a digital recording made of the original Old Main bell that now sits adjacent to Old Main and other bells of comparable sizes.

Women's volleyball seeks 88th consecutive win Friday night

University Park, Pa. — The No. 1 Penn State women's volleyball team (23-0, 11-0) can tie the UCLA men's basketball team's 88-game winning streak when the Nittany Lions host No. 7 Minnesota at 7 p.m. Friday (Oct. 30) in Rec Hall. The Golden Gophers (17-5) are in second place in the Big Ten standings with an 8-2 mark.

The Penn State-Minnesota match will be carried live by the Big Ten Network. The match will be re-broadcast on the Big Ten Network on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. ET.

The Penn State women's volleyball team, which has won the last two NCAA Championships, can move into a tie for fourth place on the NCAA Division I consecutive victories list with a win over Minnesota:

Adult tickets are $8 and youth are $5. Groups tickets are $5 per person at the door or $4 per person if purchased in advance.

All fans are encouraged to wear a costume to compete in the Halloween costume contest. The first place winner will receive a $150 gift card to the Penn State bookstore, second place receives a gift card $100 gift card and third, fourth and fifth place will get a $75 gift card. There will also be a "Dress Like a Rockette" contest where the winner will receive four tickets to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular at the Bryce Jordan Center on Nov. 20-21. Friday's match will also be Trick-or-Treat night.

Following the Minnesota match, Penn State returns to action Friday, Nov. 6 at Wisconsin for a 7 p.m. CT contest.
