Paul Howes, president and CEO of Inotek Pharmaceuticals, will deliver the semester's second lecture in the Norbert and Audrey Gaelen Entrepreneur Speaker Series at 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 12, in 112 Forest Resources Building.
Howes will present "Innovating in Health Care with No Revenue! (From Big Pharma to the World of Venture-Funded Biotech)."
He has been Inotek's president and CEO since September 2008. The Boston area biotechnology company has developed new drugs for the treatment of glaucoma and elevated intra-ocular pressure, retinal diseases and irritable bowel disease that are in the pre-clinical and clinical phases of testing.
The event was endowed in 2008 by Norbert Gaelen, a 1947 industrial engineering graduate, and brings up to six speakers to campus each year.
