The Grammy Award-nominated Joe Grkman Polka Band will be in concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25. Mark and Donna Groom, members of the renowned group, Jimmy Beaumont and The Skyliners, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27. In the event of rain on either evening, the concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Penn State Beaver Student Union Building.
This summer’s programming is sponsored by corporate partner Clearview Federal Credit Union. Programming co-sponsors are The Times, ARA Corp., Ideaworks, and Beaver Valley Musicians Union Local 82-545.
The Alumni Chapter will also operate the Brodhead Cultural Center concession stand which offers a variety of hot and cold refreshments before and during the concerts. All proceeds from the ice cream and concession sales benefit the chapter’s endowed scholarships for Beaver campus students.
The Baker-Dungan Museum, located on the hill overlooking the amphitheater, is free and open to the public from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. prior to all shows at the Cultural Center. The museum is operated and staffed by the Mill Creek Valley Historical Association.
