University Park, Pa. -- Pianist Emanuel Ax, violinist Itzhak Perlman and cellist Yo-Yo Ma performed works by Felix Mendelssohn in a sold-out performance Monday, March 30, at Eisenhower Auditorium on Penn State's University Park campus. The trio of virtuosos had only two joint performances scheduled — the one at Eisenhower Auditorium, and one at Carnegie Hall.
After their concert, they each were presented with the Penn State Institute for the Arts and Humanities Medal for Distinguished Contributions to the Arts and Humanities.
