Maricopa, World Campus agreement opens access to Penn State degree

Penn State World Campus, Maricopa Community College sign articulation agreement

University Park, Pa. — Penn State recently announced that an articulation agreement will give Arizona's Maricopa Community College students the opportunity to apply the credits they earned toward a Penn State bachelor’s degree.

Maricopa recently signed agreements with Penn State that facilitates access to Penn State’s online bachelor’s degree programs. With an online program, students can begin their careers immediately while working toward a degree in one of Penn State’s 15 bachelor degree programs, including ones in nursing, business and psychology.

“The World Campus is all about giving access to a Penn State education to learners everywhere,” said Wayne Smutz, associate vice president for Academic Outreach and executive director of Continuing and Distance Education. “This kind of articulation agreement with Maricopa Community Colleges shows the type of educational reach the World Campus gives Penn State.”
