University Park, Pa. -- A new wellness series at University Health Services (UHS) on the University Park campus encourages students to take the first steps towards better health. Students can stop by the Student Health Center on Thursdays this spring for UHS' new Student Health Tune-up. Topics will range from yoga to healthy microwave meals.
"Each tune-up will give students practical advice to create positive changes for better health," said Linda LaSalle, associate director for Educational Services at UHS. "Students don't have to spend a lot of time or money. Our programs are free and identify free or low-cost ways to improve your health and wellness."
The first Student Health Tune-up will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 22). Amy Rumbel from the Mount Nittany Institute of Natural Health will introduce students to yoga basics. The series will be held in 205 Student Health Center.
