Past the time-honored bell tower of Old Main, beyond the cool marbled halls of academia, and outside the venerated field of Beaver Stadium, the legends of the Blue and White are gathered to tell their stories at the Penn State All-Sports Museum.
Founded in 2002, the Penn State All-Sports Museum preserves the legacy of the Nittany Lions' achievements through three centuries of competition. Located in Beaver Stadium, the heart of Nittany Nation, the museum highlights each of Penn State's varsity sports, past and present, and is ever-changing as new stories are created each day on the field, court and floor.
Like any great sporting endeavor, the museum relies on its teammates and friends to achieve its mission. To that end the museum staff has formed the Friends of the Penn State All-Sports Museum. By becoming a friend, individuals and families will join others who share their love of the Nittany Lions while receiving special benefits that are only available to members. In joining the museum's team, members will be aiding in the preservation of Penn State's proud athletic tradition, while also supporting educational programming for children and the community as a whole.
As part of its inaugural year, the museum is offering Founding Memberships for the 2009 membership year. These are available at individual ($45) and family/household ($60) levels. For joining, members will receive a variety of benefits including a Museum Friends logo sticker, invitations to special events and programming, a 10 percent discount at the Penn State Bookstore (University Park locations), admission to "members hour" during the museum's football game-day hours, and a membership card.
