Friday, October 3, 2008

U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter will hold a series of Town Hall meetings across the state this month during the U.S. Senate's fall recess and three of them are planned for campuses of Penn State, including University Park, Penn State Schuylkill and Penn College.

The first meeting slated is at Penn State Schuylkill, 1:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, Campus Auditorium.

The second meet will occur at Penn College at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, Thompson Professional Development Center.

The final campus event will be held at University Park at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in Heritage Hall, the HUB-Robeson Center. These events are aimed at allowing the Penn State community to discuss regional, state and national issues. Specter will address the audience and then spend time responding to questions from the public. The event is sponsored by the student Political Science Association.
