University Park, Pa. -- Opportunities are available for either an experienced parliamentarian to volunteer his or her services or any undergraduate student to become involved in the daily decision-making process of their student government, which represents all students on a daily basis to the administration, faculty and community leaders. Both Clerk and Parliamentarian positions will have modest compensation for services as determined by the Assembly. All those seeking to apply for these positions should go to the UPUA Web site www.upua.org to fill out an application or contact Assembly Chairman Ralph Crivello for further information at rkc5008@psu.edu.
Any student organization wishing to have a liaison to the UPUA Student Assembly to facilitate communication and advocate for a cause on behalf of their student organization may e-mail the name of the person and student group to the Assembly Chairman. The responsibilities of liaisons are to attend UPUA Assembly meetings and provide a short report on activities or policy suggestions during their designated reporting time.
Liaisons represent a student group or interest to the elected representatives during Assembly meetings and provide suggestions and updates on the individual club's activities.
Interns provide the opportunity for students to be involved in researching and working with committees of the UPUA Assembly and have an impact on policy and other decision-making internal to the UPUA.
