University Park, Pa. -- Single-game tickets for the 2006 Penn State football season will go on sale to alumni on Friday, June 30. The annual alumni sale begins at 10 a.m. and all orders are to be placed at http://www.GoPSUsports.com online.
Phone and counter orders are not available for the alumni sale.
There is a limit of two tickets for the Saturday, Oct. 14 clash with Michigan (8 p.m.) and the Saturday, Oct. 21 Homecoming battle with Illinois (TBA).
Tickets also are available for the Nittany Lions' remaining home games: Akron (Saturday, Sept. 2, TBA); Youngstown State (Saturday, Sept. 16, TBA); Northwestern (Saturday, Sept. 30, TBA); Temple (Saturday, Nov. 11, TBA) and the Senior Day/Land Grant Trophy clash with Michigan State (Saturday, Nov. 18, TBA).
Alumni will be asked for the password that was included in the May-June issue of The Penn Stater magazine when making their request.
Should tickets remain after the alumni sale, the public sale of Nittany Lion single game tickets will begin on Friday, July 7 at 10 a.m. Orders should be made at http://www.GoPSUsports.com online. Phone and counter orders are not available for the public sale.
Phone orders, counter and group sales will take place only if tickets remain after the alumni and public sales. Phone and counter sales will begin Friday, July 21 at 8 a.m. if tickets remain. The numbers to call are 814-865-5555 or 800-863-3336 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Entering his 41st season as head coach, Joe Paterno's squad returns 35 letterwinners and 11 starters for this season, including returning All-Americans Paul Posluszny and Levi Brown and 2005 All-Big Ten selections Jay Alford and Tony Hunt. Paterno recently was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame and will be inducted in December.

Individual Home Game Ticket Process
· Priority is given to members of the Nittany Lion Club who are not season ticket holders and to members who do not purchase the number of season tickets to which they are entitled according to their gift category.
· After Nittany Lion Club priorities are met, any remaining home game tickets will be distributed to Alumni. Any remaining home game tickets would then be made available to the public.
Individual Away Game Ticket Process
· A limited number of tickets are made available to Penn State alumni chapters in the area in which the game is played. Distribution of these tickets is handled by the Athletic Ticket Office with the cooperation of the Penn State Alumni Association.
· A small number of tickets for some away games will be made available through tours sponsored jointly by the Nittany Lion Club and the Alumni Association.
· Priority for the remainder of tickets is given to members of the Nittany Lion Club. Applications will be processed based on the Nittany Lion Club point system.
· After distribution priorities are met, any remaining away game tickets will be distributed to alumni. Any remaining home game tickets would then be made available to the public.
