Will Rosenberger win $1 million?

The end is near for Penn Stater Ian Rosenberger and his fellow Survivors. The final regular episode of "Survivor: Palau" is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. Thursday on CBS, and the special, two-hour "Survivor" finale is set for 8 p.m. Sunday on CBS. According to the "Survivor" Web site preview, new stragegies will emerge in the final regular episode, and Rosenberger gets in trouble with another tribe member. Two critical challenges will determine who makes it to the Final Four. Will Rosenberger, last year's Penn State Undergraduate Student Government president, be in that elite group? Will he win the $1 million prize, or will he be voted off the island on Thursday? Send your thoughts -- and your messages for Rosenberger -- to Newswire@psu.edu and we'll post a sampling of them to Penn State Live. Read comments at http://live.psu.edu/story/12034 online.

Each Survivor is permitted to bring immediate family and four other guests to the "Survivor: Palau" finale in New York this Sunday. Saying that "They're the real survivors," Rosenberger decided to offer those four coveted tickets to four cancer survivors, including three Four Diamonds kids from Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Rosenberger met these individuals, who he said were real inspirations for him, through his involvement with Penn State's Thon, which is believed to be the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. Rosenberger's guests will have the opportunity to meet the current cast and members of past casts, get autographs and take pictures, before watching the finale and live reunion show in the Ed Sullivan Theatre.

Rosenberger, 23, a native of Ambridge, majored in agricultural extension and educational leadership at Penn State. He currently is the second-favorite Survivor, trailing Stephanie, who was voted off in episode 11. Tom is right on Rosenberger's heels, as the third-favorite Survivor.
