Penn State 'Survivor' update: Rosenberger prefers milk to immunity

Feeling secure in his position in the tribe, Penn Stater Ian Rosenberger voluntarily ended his quest for individual immunity in exchange for some milk and cookies in episode eight of "Survivor: Palau" on CBS.

"You pressed a button, you pressed a button, Jeff," said Rosenberger, who loves milk, adding that trading immunity for cookies and milk was "so worth it."

In the end, Rosenberger was safe, as no votes were cast for him at tribal council.

The show opened with Stephenie struggling through as the last member of Ulong tribe, and tensions mounting in the Koror camp. Stephenie's isolation did not last long, as after one night alone she got to move into the Koror camp.

With all Survivors now members of Koror tribe, the group was treated to a visit by two Palauan men, who arrived to teach them how to fish. However, a squabble quickly ensued over Rosenberger, as Coby tried to have him stay on the beach with him and work on getting more bait, while Tom insisted that Rosenberger should be out on the boat, fishing. Tom won, further alienating an already disgruntled Coby. Rosenberger was thrilled to be fishing, saying it was an "awesome experience, being out with two Palauans in their home waters, experts at fishing."

Saying, "you're bad for business," Ian was one of seven to cast a vote for Coby at tribal council, making Coby the first member of the jury. Tune in next week to see how Rosenberger and the rest of the competitors fare on "Survivor: Palau," scheduled to air at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, on CBS.

Roseberger, 23, a native of Ambridge, majored in agricultural extension and educational leadership at Penn State, and served as student government president.

Rosenberger has fallen out of the top three in the "Survivor" popularity contest. To vote for him as the favorite "Survivor," go to http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor10/vote/popularity.shtml and for Rosenberger's biography, go to http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor10/survivors/bio/ian.shtml
