Brad Bartlett, a research technician for the Penn State Center of Turfgrass Science, collects freshly-mowed clippings from the turfgrass lawns off University Drive. To collect these clippings, Bartlett runs the mower for about three feet, and stops to attach a small paper bag to the end of a large funnel on the front end of the mower. Bartlett repeats this action around 15 times per field to fulfill researchers requests. Researchers use the clippings to see how their experiments are progressing. Photo by Jaime Keily
