A Moroccan farmer taught Penn State students about the properties of vetiver grass, including its ability to clean wastewater. The grass could be used as part of a solution to water-quality problems being experienced in Assoul, Morocco, where students spent time recently.

After her teammates took turns cutting down pieces of the basketball net, the lone senior on the team, Zhaque Gray, cut down the rest of it and ran across the court waving it for all to see. The Lady Lions downed Ohio State 84-66 to clinch the Big Ten regular-season title, their first since 2004.
