The tower was made available throughout Friday afternoon as part of the President's Open House, an event catering to visitors like the Randazzos, who are parents of a Penn State freshman. Penn State students, faculty, staff and visitors were able to meet the president and provost, tour the Office of the President and learn more about Old Main through Lion Ambassadors on hand. Those to tour the bell tower may be some of the last to see the bell in its current location, as it is scheduled to be removed from the tower on Wednesday, Oct. 7, to be restored through funds raised by the Penn State Graduating Class of 2009.
